4pm: Taking Up Space in the Industry

In this talk, multidisciplinary artists Belinda Clarke and Naomi Knox will invite you into a conversation about life in the industry. They will explore what it means to be multidisciplinary artists, their journey to where they are now and creating work for social activism. As well as looking at their work creatively, they will delve into how to equip yourself as a freelance artist when our industry is creating a new normal. Join in on the conversation, share experiences and learn to take up space.

6pm: Managing Your Organisation

Leading Light Collective (LLC) was founded at Bath Spa University, in 2017. Four years later they’re back to give you the fundamentals of running an arts organisation. LLC provide accessible opportunities to underrepresented communities to support personal and professional growth. Specifically targeting regions with particularly low arts engagement.

The three company directors will take you through their job roles of the Artistic Director (Belinda Clarke), Lead Producer (Hannah Blair) and Engagement Producer (Flick Isaac-Chilton). By the end of the workshop, LLC will have given you the basic tools needed when handling artistic programming, governance, financial & legal management and audience engagement.
