Hui Zeng is a performing arts creator working within a range of different aspects of dance, including performance, choreography, education and community projects. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching and practicing traditional Chinese dance. More recently, via exposure to cross-disciplinary workshops and overseas study visits, she became interested in a diverse range of creative dance practices. Her masters program focused on exploring screen dance, interdisciplinary and site-specific performance making, and new choreographic practices. Through which she has gained new reflections and experiences on how dance films are made, how improvisation can lead the way in choreography, and novel approaches to interdisciplinary collaboration. She is currently working towards becoming a dance film director and producer.
