JOSHUA VAN DER SLEEN

EVENT: Legacy
ROLE: Writer Director, Producer & Actor

I am a third-year acting student at Bath Spa University, with performance experience ranging from Shakespeare and Noël Coward to contemporary work. Over the last year I have created a solo show that explores survival through the pressures of family expectations. I learned that my career is going to be involved in theatre making, I want to give everyone something truly special and new, I hope you enjoy.

A Deaf dance artist exploring vibration, identity and cross-cultural communication. Currently studying MA Dance Performance at Bath Spa University, creating work that centres lived experience and accessible storytelling.

MADISON HILL

EVENT: For Your Country
ROLE: Performer & Director

Madison Hill is a performer and theatre-maker with a practice rooted in physical and devised theatre. Performance credits include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Angel in Oceans of Storms. Hill's play, Study of an Angel (Behind Glass), will be performed as part of Going Solo, marking her playwriting debut, and directing debut for Signs and Symptoms.

CHRISTINA EDWARDS

EVENT: SOMNAMBULANT Part 2
ROLE: Choreographer, Director & Performer

I am a Professional Contemporary Dance Artist, based in Wales, recently graduating from my BA in dance from Bath Spa University.

My main focus is around contemporary dance, fused with street dance, taking a particular interest in floorwork styles, such as flying low. I am also interested in contact work and improvisation styles that I believe show the intimacy of human connection, which I am looking to explore in further works in the future.

TOMMY DINSDALE

EVENT: SHOUT: The Musical (A Scream Parody)
ROLE: Writer & Director

Tommy is the Director for BSMTS 2025/2026. Previously, he has directed the original version of SHOUT: The Musical (A Scream Parody) and society's most recent production, Footloose: The Musical. In addition to this, he has written and starred in two short films (credited on iMDB). Directing is a real passion of his, and he's excited to show everyone his hard work on stage.

LUCY ABREU

EVENT: Where Was I Going With This Again?
ROLE: Creator & Performer

Lucy is an alumni of BSU, graduating with both BA and MA degrees in dance. She specialises in contemporary dance and creative movement, with key interests in textiles, multi-disciplinary art, and dance theatre. Lucy also draws upon authentic movement practice, elements of Butoh, and theatre of the absurd. Lucy’s previous works have been described as “engaging, entertaining and moving”, and “work that resonates”.

MORGAN WATERS

EVENT: On Plastic Chairs, Parties and People-Watching
ROLE: Writer & Performer

Morgan is a South West based actor, with an ever growing passion for all things theatre. She is a Bath Spa University Acting graduate and has recently joined WhimsiCo Theatre Company as their Assistant Director. Her credits include Edith in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Fox in Grimm and Alice in Escape to Wonderland (WhimsiCo), God #5 in Mother Tongue (The Wardrobe Ensemble) and Anne in The God of Carnage (Radio, Bath Spa Productions).

LINA SALATA

EVENT: Tapped
ROLE: Actor & Co-Director

Lina is in her final year of the BA (Hons) Acting course at Bath Spa University, and is still wondering how it went so quickly. Her recent credits include Mae in All Honey, Duchess Orsina in Twelfth Night (A Director’s Cut), and Elvira Condomine in Blithe Spirit. She has advanced stage combat training with BADC (yes, she can fall over convincingly) and will be acting in, and co-directing the dark comedy Tapped for SparkFest 2026.

Justin Jaynea Barber is an aspiring choreographer and performer. Originally from the United States, Justin is in the United Kingdom attending Bath Spa University's Masters of Dance program.

MEGAN CLARKE

EVENT: Doors Closing
ROLE: Writer & Director

Megan is a writer and theatre-maker who graduated from BSU in 2025. Currently, she is one of Emerge Studio’s creative residents. Previous credits include: Wit (director); Talk Too Much (writer / actress); We Know Now Snowmen Exist (actress); Orlando (actress / props); The Lovely Bones (actress). Recently, she was an Assistant Stage Manager for Theatre Royal Bath’s 25/26 Pantomime. Megan can’t wait to direct and debut her first full-length play, Doors Closing, in SparkFest this year!

I am Jiawei Li, a dance film creator specializing in integrating physical storytelling with cinematography. My core practice is to take dance beyond the stage, allowing the camera to extend the body, exploring how movement, space, and sound can collectively tell stories that transcend words.

ELLA JAMES

EVENT: Puck's Possession
ROLE: Actor, Director & Adapter

Ella is a final year BA (hons) Acting student, her most recent credit being Queenie in Be my Baby within Sparkfest. She is thrilled to be honing her directing and adapting capability in a new, immersive version of this beloved classic play and hopes to develop this project further to better connect timeless pieces to young creative minds.

REUBEN WOODALL

EVENT: Lovely Beautiful Sunshine Boy
ROLE: Creator & Performer

Reuben grew up training in contemporary dance at various Centres for Advanced Training, Motionhouse Youth and was a member of the National Youth Dance Company before completing a BA at Trinity Laban. Since then he has been delving into freelance dance work around the South West with a focus on combining physical storytelling with queer playfulness for fuller creative expression.

THOMAS BAXTER

After Graduating from Bath Spa, Thomas has been very busy, working on many projects inc. two short films, 3 stage plays and TV, working alongside Oscar Curtis, among others. Thomas has also been commissioned by a Birmingham Theatre to write two short plays. This year Thomas will be performing his brand new one man show, “Don't Look” at Sparkfest, along with premiering his New Film. “Three Calls”

ELISABETH MAY

EVENT: I Don't  Want to be Yoko Ono
ROLE: Actor, Marketer & Musical Director

Elisabeth May is a third year Acting student and singer songwriter. Her Theatre Credits include Mary Dawson in Newton Park - Lady Olivia in Twelfth Night - Abigail in The Crucible - Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest - Harvey in The Ringmaster - etc.. Elisabeth is also a published music artist, with two singles out on all streaming platforms and an EP on the way, while playing live gigs around Bath and Bristol. She performed with a set of original songs at the SparkFest Launch Party in April 2025.

JOSH MOORE

EVENT: Unmasking Burton & NEUROLIFE
ROLE: Actor, Writer & Producer

Josh is excited to be performing in this year's SparkFest Season. He appears in the original play 'NEUROLIFE' playing James. Previous Credits Include: Tupolski in The Pillowman, Creature in Frankenstein and Sam in 2:22 A Ghost Story, amongst other productions. Passionate about working class voices, Josh is developing plans to tour his newly written solo show 'Unmasking Burton' in which he will take on the mantle of Richard Burton, across pubs, studio spaces and Community Venues.

FLOSSIE PATTENDEN

Flossie is in her third year of the BA (hons) Acting course at Bath Spa University. Her pervious credits include Tobie Belch form Twelfth night. She has gained her BADC intermediate training and is looking to further he skills this summer with further weapons such as quarterstaff, sword & shield. She is also looking forward to performing in the show 'Judgement Day' written and directed by Ed Viney for SparkFest 2026.

Grace is a passionate actor, singer and creative writer. Her recent credits include Mia in "That Face", Yaz in "The Flat Earth Lunch Club", and Nurse in "Romeo and Juliet". Debuting as a theatre writer and director with her show "Today's Special", she hopes to leave a lasting impression with audiences, and graduate Bath Spa as an actress and theatre maker.

My name is Helena, and I am a final year Acting student at BSU. For one of my final productions, I will be performing in 'Be My Baby' alongside a group of wonderful cast-mates. LOTTIE DANCE

EVENT: Discount Disney Princess
ROLE: Performer & Director

Lottie is Jersey-born writer, director, and storyteller based in Bath, and the co-founder of WhimsiCo. She writes and directs stories that evoke a sense of nostalgia, and magic, using these feelings to explore themes of belief, grief, childhood, and how we tell and pass on stories. She is passionate about diversity in theatre, and is particularly interested in including body types not usually seen on stage in her work.
