AVAILABLE TECH
Please note that we operate all technical operations on a fringe model.
This means you will have a fixed focus in the rig, limited tech time, and limited tech available - please see below for details.
At Widcombe Social Club, we will have the following available for your event:
LIGHTING
Fixed focus in the rig, including:
Cold Wash.
Warm Wash.
Some coloured LED lights.
SOUND
Ability to playback pre-recorded sound - You MUST bring this downloaded, ready on a USB / External Hard Drive.
Q-Lab available with a device to be played from.
PROJECTION
Available - please bring your own laptop to operate from as a back up.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to provide a separate operator for your projection. We will have projection available, however, this will be onto a portable screen, and projector, meaning the projection operator will need to be separate from the lighting / sound operator.
OTHER
We cannot provide phone chargers, or extension leads for anything that needs plugging in on-stage. Please provide your own.
GENERAL BRIEFING
Widcombe Social Club is a versitile venue offering a large space for all types of events. We often host dance, theatre, live music and film screenings at WSC due to its ability to be adaptable with audience arrangements.
AVAILABLE ROOMS
We have two rooms available for SparkFest at WSC
WHARF ROOM
The Wharf Room is the upstairs space, with a bar. It has a large wooden floor space, and audience formations can be versitile here, ranging from end-on, to in the round, or standing.
This space has a separate dressing/green room at the rear.
TECH SPECS
There are some lights available, but it is a simple set-up, with some general warm light coverage, and a few coloured-LED lights, meaning you can have a range of washes. Please refer to the tech specs above.
We will have a PA system in place for sound.
WATERSIDE BAR
The Waterside Bar is the downstairs space, with a bar. It is best for smaller events, workshops or classes, or multi-media set ups.
TECH SPECS
There are no built-in lights in this venue, other than disco-lights.
There is a TV screen, a small stage and a PA system available.
PARKING
Very limited parking close by. Paid on-street parking, or closest car-park being Southgate underground carpark or Avon Street Car Park which is opposite the Mission theatre and is free of charge after 20:00.
LOADING / UNLOADING
Loading is best directly outside the front door, with very limited time, and vehicles will need to be moved directly after loading.
