Set Dressing / Props

Please provide as much detail as possible on the physical elements of the production and what you’ll be bringing into the venue/space, e.g. sofa, tables, chairs... We require you to source your own props / set, but we can support in some areas. If you require any support, please provide details in the box below.

Does your production have any food, liquids, solids in it that could make a mess?

(If so, this must be brought to the attention of the SparkFest team and a risk assessment required before it is agreed)

Technical Requirements - LIGHTS

Please let us know your thoughts for your lighting states / needs. Please note that we run off a fringe model, which means that you will have a fix focus in the rig (lights will not be able to be moved) and that you must inform us of any specific requirements before-hand. To find out what technical specifications available at your venue, please refer to the Participant Portal page on the SparkFest website.

Technical Requirements - SOUND

Please let us know your thoughts for your sound needs. To find out what technical specifications available at your venue, please refer to the Participant Portal page on the SparkFest website.

Technical Requirements - PROJECTION

Please let us know if you intend to use projection, and if so, how - onto a screen, onto a wall - please be specific.

Please consider who will be operating your projection - you might need someone else to operate this separate to your lights and sound.

To find out what technical specifications available at your venue, please refer to the Participant Portal page on the SparkFest website.

Technical Equipment

As much detail as possible around any technical equipment you are bringing in or need for your production, e.g. microphones, guitars, speakers etc.. We're happy to support, but we require you to source your own equipment, where possible.

Stage Flats / Wings & Side Lights - For University Theatre Only

If you are performing in the University Theatre, please state whether you will require:

  1. The black stage flats on the side of stages to create wings

  2. The side lights on boom poles

These are shown in the video tour, which is available here at minute 2:44: www.sparkfest.co.uk/university-theatre-bsu

Wings/flats are not available at Widcombe Social Club or Burdall's Yard.

I require the following for my event at the UNIVERSITY THEATRE:
I want the stage flats/wings only
I want the side lights only
I want both stage flats and side lights
I don't want either, just a clear stage

Technical Operator Name(s)

If your event requires any changes to lights, sound or projection, please let us know who will be operating your show. They do not need to be technically experienced, however, they DO need to know when to press the next cue (lights, sound, projection) etc. You will have a technician available to you who will programme the lights and sound for your event, however, they will NOT operate for you.
